The David Kenneth Group is seeking to add a qualified Transcriptionist to its team of experienced data center migration professionals.  We specialize in data center transformations.  Our services include data center migrations, infrastructure and virtualization optimization, and advisory services for large enterprise clients. Due to high demand for our services, we are seeking to add a Transcriptionist to our team to assist with client communications.


The Transcriptionist will be responsible for understanding a client’s dynamic needs and translating highly technical information into digestible communication and documentation for the client. The transcriptionist will convert audio recordings, handwritten notes, or other communications into typed documents, with a focus on both efficiency and accuracy. The qualified candidate possess exceptional typing skills, a keen ear, an eye for detail, and a firm grasp of the written English language.

  • Under the direction of a senior communication specialist, you will provide communications, documentation, editing, and overall as-needed support for project planning and management for Data Center Migration Projects.
  • Listen to live or recorded dictation of client meetings; then transcribe and interpret the dictation into written reports, letters, emails and other documents as required by the communications department lead.
  • Data entry, review documents to ensure they are complete and legible.
  • Manage and organize meeting templates to meet client – specific and internal communication needs.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a broad understanding of the communication discipline and technical documentation needs 

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • MS Office 2007 and later (with a high level of expertise in both Word and PowerPoint) 
  • SharePoint 2007
  • Experience with Meeting facilitation including notes and follow-up on action items as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) 
  • Much of the work is completed independently, so it is important to be self-motivated and to be able to adhere to guidelines.
  • Attention to detail is also an essential personality aspect, as accuracy is needed.

Preferred Experience:

  • Past telecommute experience
  • Experience transcribing IT jargon and abbreviations into their expanded forms.
  • Experience with Oral Dictations in the healthcare or legal field
  • Transcription Certification
