The David Kenneth Group is seeking to add a qualified Senior Test Manager to its team of experienced data center migration professionals.  This position's primary responsibility is to identify test cases, execute and validate new infrastructure prior to migration and to validate application functionality following migration to a new facility. Where a client does not have test cases, the Senior Test Manager will write test cases to be used during the migration project, and participate in cutovers as necessary to track and report on test execution status.

  • Establish and maintain a standardized test practice for the company which will include its processes, tools, templates, and industry best practices.
  • Project Manage Testers by participating in the coordination, interviewing, mentoring, training, and review of new and existing staff.
  • Responsible for quality assurance and engineering as needed throughout the organization.
  • Oversee implementation and product auditing prior to delivery.
  • Lead a testing team to execute test cases, improve product quality by implementing structured testing processes and tools.
  • Run test scenarios and in depth analysis leveraging industrial strength testing processes, systems, and tools.  
  • Works with business stakeholders to develop detailed test strategies: ensures that all steps are written into test case documents, plans every step, lists out the key objectives, approach and timeline for testing.
  • Runs reporting on testing progress according to project timelines and obtains sign-off on the testing phase.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Professional Services.


Experience Requirements:

  • 10 – 15 years' experience identifying, writing, and executing test cases
  • 10 – 15 years’ experience in test case automation and data management.
  • Experience leading a testing team to the execution phase as well as managing the test environment and location sites.
  • Experience writing test cases for large infrastructure projects
  • Experience using test tools, such as Quality Center
  • Possess project management, deep analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to track defects and verify resolution with different levels of urgency 
  • Able to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities as assigned
  • Experience complying reports on test case execution results and metrics
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to advise clients on best practices in testing methodology
  • Strong client orientation
  • Shows initiative and acts promptly
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a master's degree is preferred.
  • Data Center Migration Experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Quality Assurance and software management
  • Experience in testing V2V migrations
  • Past telecommute experience
  • Past consulting experience
